Continental’s new GP5000 S TR tires are now available in 700x32c width, expanding the popular road tire line for riders who prefer more cushion and grip without switching to gravel-specific rubber.
The wider option uses the same BlackChili compound and Vectran puncture protection as the standard GP5000 series. Weight comes in at 295 grams, roughly 40 grams more than the 28c version.
Testing by Continental showed the 32c width at 60 PSI provides similar rolling resistance to the 28c at 80 PSI, while offering improved comfort and cornering confidence on rough pavement.
The tire fits most modern endurance and all-road frames with adequate clearance. Riders should verify their frame can accommodate the actual mounted width, which typically measures 2-3mm wider than stated.
Pricing matches the existing GP5000 S TR lineup at $85 per tire. Available now through Continental dealers and major cycling retailers.
