SRAM Eagle Now Connects to Garmin Devices

As someone who runs electronic shifting on multiple bikes, I sat down and learned this SRAM-Garmin integration. Today, I will share it all with you.

SRAM’s Eagle Transmission system now works with Garmin bike computers through a new ANT+ integration released this week. Riders can view gear position, battery level, and system health directly on compatible Garmin Edge devices.

The integration requires Eagle AXS firmware version 3.2 or higher and Garmin software version 15.0+. Connection happens automatically when both devices are powered on within range of each other.

Displayed data includes current gear combination shown as a simple ratio, estimated battery life in hours, and a system status indicator. When the system detects a potential issue, an alert appears on the Garmin screen.

SRAM says this integration has been requested by mountain bikers who want gear information visible while keeping their eyes on the trail. The feature works across all current Eagle AXS mountain and mullet groupsets.

Wahoo integration is planned for later this quarter according to SRAM representatives.
